My Hobbies

Music

In my spare time, I have a passion for music as a guitar and bass player. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and analyzing their rhythms to play it out on my instruments. Whether I’m practicing a complex riff or jamming with others, music provides a creative outlet that balances the logical precision of my technical work.

Automotive Restoration

I have a particular passion for the mechanical and electrical restoration of older Mercedes-Benz vehicles. There is a unique challenge in deconstructing the over-engineered systems of older European cars to diagnose faults that have existed for decades. Since the age of 14 I have taken on many complex projects even carrying out the successful restoration of an SL 55. This hobby has taught me that with the right documentation and persistence, any complex machine can be brought back to life.

Cats

Outside of my creative or professional pursuits, I am a dedicated cat owner and advocate for animal welfare. Currently the owner of three cats, I also spend time rescuing strays in my community. It’s a personal mission of mine to ensure that the stray populations in my area are treated with compassion and care.

Beer brewing

My interest in brewing began through a beverage production class which introduced me to the chemistry and logistics behind beer. Having successfully managed my first homebrew from fermentation to bottle, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the variables required to create a quality product. I enjoy exploring different flavor profiles and learning about the industrial systems that allow craft beverages to reach the hands of consumers.

Coding

I focus primarily on Python and PHP for backend development, as I enjoy the logic required to build the “brains” of an application. Whether I am automating a server task or building a data-driven web tool, I thrive in the environment of clean syntax and efficient problem-solving.
